Tips To Help You Comprehend The Laws Of Attraction

By Barbara Marr

Become aware of the law of abundance and the unlimited and plentiful supply already available to you. We have much to be grateful for all around us. Even on our worst days, there are positive angles we could look at to feel a sense of wholeness -- but more often than not, we simply choose not to see the good. Instead, we wallow in the bad for awhile, which ultimately prevents us from reaching our true potential. The law of abundance is one of the many laws of attraction that indicate, "abundance begets more abundance."

In summing up the laws of attraction, Bruce MacLelland, author of Prosperity Through Thought Force, states, "You are what you think, not what you think you are." Psychologists such as Carl Jung have always been convinced that the old saying "mind over matter" has a certain amount of truth to it. Each day, our thoughts and emotions give shape to the world that we see. Each day, we can opt to be joyous or choose to be sad. The secret of attraction is really not a secret in the least, yet instead an awareness that we must think positively to see positive consequences in our lives.

There are quite a few distinct laws of attraction, according to what author you're consulting. In keeping with Jerry and Esther Hicks, the Abraham law of attraction has 12 main principles. You are a bodily extension of that which is non-physical. You are here in this body because you decided to be here. You are a creator/you create with each thought. The foundation of your life is choice/the purpose of your life is joy. As you are choosing your thoughts, your feelings are giving you direction. Anything that you can imagine is yours to do or have or be. Relax into your inherent well-being/all is well. You are a creator of thought-ways on your individual path of joy. The universe loves you for it understands your broadest intentions. Actions to be taken and goods to be exchanged are offshoots of your concentration on joy. You can't die/you are unending life. You may suitably depart your human body without sickness or pain.

Christopher Westra of www.lightisreal.com refers to the following ten laws of attraction. Want it but don't need it. Want with relaxation and ease. Open yourself to something better/be happy without it. Know why you want it. Explore your reasons. Trust and surrender. Take small steps. Exercise patience and consistent action. Believe you are worth it. In his translation of the keys to the laws of attraction, many run into trouble when they become demanding, hurried and controlling. Often people get too caught up in figuring out how they want events to occur, rather than visualizing what they want. It's important to ponder the benefits of receiving your desires to make your wants more palpable.

Wallace D. Wattles was one of the most influential laws of attraction writers. His book, The Science of Getting Rich, inspired other law of attraction books, like The Secret. In his book he writes, "Thought is the creative power, or the impelling force which causes the creative power to act; thinking in a certain way will bring riches to you, but you must not rely upon thought alone, paying no attention to personal action. That is the rock upon which many otherwise scientific metaphysical thinkers meet shipwreck; the failure to connect thought with personal action." The notion that one's mind can influence actions and shape reality is a commonality among all books about the universal law of attraction.
