Challenging Time Require New Attitudes

By Darry Turock

t's no secret that we are going through some tough economic times. When you are losing your job and can't pay your bills it is a very frightening proposition. Everything looks grim and it's hard not to be depressed. An interesting thing about human ingenuity is that we become creative when faced with difficult circumstances. Indeed, it's what life is all about.

We create more trauma the more that we keep focusing on it. The law of attraction states that when we feel bad it is indicating that we are focusing on what we don't want. Now our challenge is to focus on what we do want and find the ways and means to realize it.

We have experienced many different stages of human history. At different times in history we earned our living in different ways. Originally we were farmers and then we become employees. We are not at the end of the job area.

Now, in the third wave, the information age, we are returning to our homes to make our living. The difference is that now we have technology so we can powerfully communicate and travel all over the world. It's a whole new game with a whole new set of rules.

Another way of looking at our situation is that history is calling us out of a place of subjugation into a place of powerful personal self expression. It seems scary at first but we may soon realize that this is what we really wanted all along. Now is the time to recognize that we are living in the context of history and that this transformational time is not the end but simply a change. The good news is that change brings with it the seeds of greater freedom and prosperity for everyone.

In this new age there are new needs being born. What is required are leaders. People who take a look at what's possible next, who do their due dilegence and research to find out what's possible now. It is possible to look at life like a ride on a river and right now we're on the rapids! It can be fun or it can scare us.

When we put our thoughts on what's possible we can find many new opportunities opening up for us and we may just find that we like these new methods better. Perhaps the loss of a job is the beginning of a sense of freedom and full self expression. Maybe this is the Phoenix that will rise from the ashes of the current day.

Now is the time to create some new dreams and to really think outside the box. Marketing is, after all, finding a need and filling it in new and creative ways. You already are the expert about something - and, inside what your passions are you will find the opportunities that you need.
